Procedure
Procedure
If you are moving abroad, you must notify the Civil Affairs Office of your municipality. You should do this at the latest the day before your departure abroad.
- The declaration can be made by an adult or by the reference person (head of household) of the family.
- If the change of address applies to the entire family, it is sufficient for one of the adult members of the family to make the declaration.
- If a minor moves abroad, someone with parental authority must assist him/her with the declaration.
After the declaration, you will receive a document with which you must present yourself at the town hall, embassy or consulate of the new place of residence.
If you still need any documents or proofs of identity to be printed or created, you must request them first, before you deregister.
