Pay via the 4411 or Easypark app
How does it work?
- Download the app from the Apple, Google, or Windows app store.
- After creating your account, select the municipality, enter the parking meter number or parking zone and your license plate number, and your parking session will start.
- With 4411, you must end the parking session. With Easypark, you must select your parking time in advance and do not need to end the session.
Parking via text message costs a minimum of €0.30 (per text message sent/received).

Pay via text message
Start your parking session by sending an SMS to 4411 with the number of the parking meter, followed by a space and your license plate number. Please note: each meter has a unique number, which can be found on the device itself. When you leave, simply text "Q" to 4411 to end your session.
Please note: Payment by text message is only possible for Belgian mobile phone numbers.
Paying at a parking meter
You pay in advance at the parking meter on the street with a payment card (Bancontact, Maestro, Visa, Mastercard) for the parking time you think you will need. You can also pay contactless, using your payment card or Apple Pay or Google Wallet. No parking ticket is printed that you have to place behind the windscreen. You can still print a proof of payment at the parking meter.
Where can you find parking meters?
Free parking time
In Bredene, you can park for free for the first half hour from the first Saturday of the Easter holidays until September 30. From October 1 until the Friday before the Easter holidays, you can park for free for 1 hour. You do need to take a ticket from the parking meter, but you do not need to display it behind your windshield.
Do you use text messaging or the app? Then you will not be charged for parking for the first half hour. If you end the session within that half hour, you will not be charged any transaction costs either.
Digital control
The license plate number must be entered at the parking meter, by text message, or via the 4411 / Easypark app. After registration, the parking attendant can check your license plate number digitally.
